Director: Woody Allen. Cast: Larry David, Evan Rachel Wood, Patricia Clarkson. 92 min. PG-13. Comedy.
For some reason, Allen's repetitive style in comedy never gets old for me. The same NYC setting, the same neurotic hero (actually playing Woody himself), and the same never ending flow of funny, sarcastic memorable quotes. There's not much here that specifically makes this New York comedy stand out from his other New York comedies - except for Larry David, who does an excellent job in the role Woody has exclusively defined as his own.

ReplyDeleteI love woody Allen's realistic- comic looking to the world. The phylosophy of :give people opportuinity to be free from social standards, moral obligations ,responsibilities, and all restraints and then see what they really want to be ,instead of what they have to be!
I agree with you about Larry David, he acted so simmilar to Woody Allen that I checked his photo again!. Top score movie, need to watch and listen more than once.
The strange reality is: Woody Allen is giving us a lesson in ethics here, and it isn't annoying to hear the lesson at all. The unique capability of comedy.
