Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol (2011)

Director: Brad Bird. Cast: Tom Cruise, Jeremy Renner, Simon Pegg, Paula Patton, Michael Nyqvist, Tom Wilkinson, Ving Rhames, Michelle Monaghan. 133 min. Rated R. Action/Thriller. USA/UAE.

Boy, was I surprised. If you long for a great James Bond movie, look no further. The amazing gadgets, the mind-blowing action scenes, the looming WWIII nuclear threats, and the Russian megalomaniac planning to blow up the world - they're all here. And with all his crazy antics, with his near 50 years of age, when it comes to action films, Tom Cruise definitely still has it. It's the James Bond formula, and it works. Just how can I ever forget the Burj Khalifa skyscraper sequence? I promise you haven't seen an action movie this good in a long time.

  1. Well,I love mission team movie then I like this one too but I was thinking that how good is such entertaining picks for relaxation and giving rest to the mind whereas there are some thoughtful pieces like Promotheus captured the mind intensely already ...When I finished movie I didn’t get anything but enjoying some great scenes of unbelievable and unreal events (extra khalibandy),some intelligent tricks and tactics and full action action and action and that's cool!exactly Bond's shadow was everywhere .No doubt cinematography was spectacular and high-tech staffs worked perfect and at last I saw famous scene of Borjol -khalife, when Tom Cruize was clanging on the side like spiderman , it’s amazing that he did it himself without double ? Crazy! He is a good actor and I'm an old fan of him. I just saw Rock of ages to see how is he doing there?! And he was new and good and has a good voice as well! If you are fan of the rock you will enjoy of listening to some beautiful pieces of rock & “don’t stop believeing" of Journey is one of them(I just remember that you'd rather the pieces by original singers not performed by actors and actress.right? then forget it!)

  2. You've said it all. This movie is purely for entertainment, and it exceeds that goal magnificently.

Btw, this is Brad Bird's first live-action movie. He's directed for Pixar before, director of "Ratatouille" and "The Incredibles". Of course, only an animator would make such an action movie!

(I'm not too sure about watching "Rock of Ages". Don't know. Can't picture Tom Cruise as a rock singer. Maybe when the DVD is out.)
